What Is a Good Website Speed Score?
Google's PageSpeed Insights scores pages from 0β100. A score of 90 or above is considered "Good," 50β89 is "Needs Improvement," and below 50 is "Poor." Core Web Vitals β LCP, INP, and CLS β are the metrics Google uses directly as ranking signals.
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures loading performance and should be under 2.5 seconds. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) measures visual stability and should be below 0.1. Total Blocking Time (TBT) is the lab proxy for Interaction to Next Paint (INP) and should be under 200ms.
